2015 Bridal Trend Forecast

Last month, New York Bridal Market wrapped exhibiting some of the hottest trends brides can look forward to in 2015. Overskirts, Sleeves & Straps, Beautiful Backs, High-Low Skirts, and Soft & Whimsical gowns have been seen all over the runway. Mia Bridal Couture was lucky enough to be front row at sought-after designers such as Rivini, Amsale, Sareh Nouri and many others, and we're sharing our favorite trends with you! Here is our 2015 bridal trend break-down which we cannot wait to get on our racks this upcoming year.

Transforming a bridal look between the ceremony and the reception is definitely not a recent trend, but what if I told you you can completely change the silhouette of your gown? One of the hottest looks at NYC Bridal Market was the addition of the overskirt. Designers are solving many brides' dilemma of whether they are a "ball gown bride" or a "fitted bride" by letting them be both! Designers like Rivini, Alon Livne, Alyne and Judd Waddell showed overskirts made of tulle and taffeta.

In 2015, it's going to be all about the shoulder detail. Having straps and sleeves on your wedding gown is no longer associated with your mother's beautiful gown. Designers like Alon Livne, Sareh Nouri, and Antonio Gual have mastered the art of modernizing straps and sleeves. Whether it is full, lace sleeves or dainty, beaded cap sleeves, there will be lots of shoulder detail come next year.

Recently, dramatic backs have been no stranger to being on the top trends list. For the past few seasons, brides go into appointments with entire Pinterest boards of stunning backs they've pinned. 2015 will be no different. Open lace backs, beaded backs or just completely bare backs can be seen in almost every bridal collection next year.

In current seasons, the high-low skirt trend have really been popular on the fashion runways of New York, Paris, Milan and many others. Now, bridal runways have also joined in on the fun. Designers like Alyne and Rivini had their models bare a little leg with this playful yet sexy trend.

Soft and whimsical gowns were so popular this upcoming season that even Rita Vinieris named her Fall 2015 Rivini collection, "Soft Seduction." There is something about a soft and airy bridal gown that creates a sense of magic. Delicate necklines paired with flowy skirts made of special nets and tulle were seen by Watters Brides, Amsale, Sareh Nouri and many others.
