1. She has been known to use herself as a fit model when creating her gowns.

2. Amsale grew up in Ethiopia, and came to the United States after convincing her parents to let her study Commercial Art in New England.

3. Her daughter, Rachel Brown, is an incredibly talented muscian. Check her out!

4. Her very first clients came from a classifieds ad she placed in a bridal publication after she designed her own wedding gown in 1985.

5. All of Amsale's gowns are made in the U.S.A! Right in the heart of NYC!
6. Growing up she never realized there was such a job as "fashion designer". She attended  New York's Fashion Institute of Technology after receiving her degree from University of Massachussettes- Boston.

7. Amsale never drapes with muslin. She works with final gown fabric from the very begining.
